This How-To article will help Webex users set up their Phone Service in the Webex application. The user must have the Phone Service enabled by the Telecommunications team and licensed for this service in the Webex Control Hub.
Prerequisites for the Phone Service in the Webex Application

- Self-Service Open a Ticket (https://infohub.austincc.edu/resources/)
- Webex App installed on your laptop
- On your computer, search for the application. All ACC staff computers should have the Webex app already installed
- Webex license for Calling
- Obtained through the Service Request ticket (see Prerequisite #1)
- ACC Network connection
- On campus - using an Ethernet cable or on the ACC Secure WiFi
- NOTE: ACC Guest WiFi will not connect the phone
- Remote - Global Protect VPN connection
- An assigned ACC phone number (512-223-XXXX)
- If you do not have an ACC phone number, please mention this in your Service Request ticket (see Prerequisite #1)
Steps to connecting the Phone Service in the Webex App:
- Connect your laptop to the ACC Network
- Open the Webex App and sign in by performing the Multi-Factor Authentication steps
- In the Webex App, open Settings > Phone Services
- Configure the Phone Services
- Server Address: acc-cm1.acc.austincc.edu
- UC Domain: austincc.edu
- Select “Connect” then “Save
- When prompted, sign in using your ACCeID and password
- This will be the same password you will use for any Okta-enabled application.
The lower-right corner of the Webex App will display “Call settings,” which is confirmation that your Phone Services are connected.
