Customizing your Learning Module

Adding an image to your learning modules enhances engagement, improves comprehension, and can make complex information easier to grasp. Images can also help students visualize abstract concepts and remember information more effectively.

Highlighted Controls:  Options Menu Icon (...): Outlined in a red dotted box in the upper-right corner of the Learning Module item.  "Edit" Option: Outlined in a red solid box within the open dropdown menu.  Learning Module Details:  Module Title: Displays the placeholder text "Week 1: [Enter Title Here] - [Enter Date Here]".  Visibility: Set to "Visible to students" with an eye icon.  Description Placeholder: Displays "[Add a description of the weekly tasks here]".  Menu Options: Contains "Edit" (highlighted) and "Delete".

  1. Select the three dots to the right of the learning module on your course content page.
  2. Select Edit to bring up the learning module editing panel.
  3. Select an engaging and relevant image for your learning module.Select the image icon in the edit panel. You can now upload an image. JPEG and PNG formats are supported.Top Settings Fields:  Module Title: Displays truncated title "Week 1: [Enter Title ..." marked with a purple vertical edit indicator bar.  Visibility Dropdown: Positioned below the title, set to "Visible to students".  Description Field: Labeled "Description" with placeholder text "[Add a description of the weekly tasks here]" and a character count note reading Maximum 750 characters.  Highlighted Image Section (Red Box):  Section Header: Labeled "Image" with top-right control icons for adding/changing an image and deleting (trash icon).  Upload Container: A central gray box containing a white upload card with a clickable blue "Add image" link.
  4. A preview of the image appears. Select Next to continue.
  5. You can select the trash icon to cancel the upload instead.Image Preview Container:  Displays a black "Preview" badge in the upper-left corner over the uploaded photo (a white humanoid robot holding a tablet).  Highlighted Action Area (Red Box):  "Cancel": Light gray secondary button on the left.  "Next >": Dark filled primary button with a right-facing chevron icon (>) on the right.
  6. Position the image. You can adjust the zoom of the image using a slider and select and drag the parts of the image that you want to include in the learning module. Select Save to continue.Image Crop & Position Window:  File Name: Displays "5.png" above the image area.  Crop Frame: Features a white 3x3 grid overlay on the uploaded image, with gray shaded bars on the left and right indicating cropped areas.  Adjustment Controls:  Zoom Slider: Positioned below the preview, featuring a purple circular handle set to the far left of the slider bar, flanked by zoom-out and zoom-in magnifying glass icons.  Instructional Text: Reads "Click and drag, or use the arrow keys, to reposition your image" directly below the controls.
  7. The image is uploaded to your learning module.
    • The image may take a few seconds to load, depending on your Internet connection speed.
  8. Learning module images are automatically marked as decorative, which hides the banner for students using assistive technologies.
    • If you want all students to know the content of the image, unchecked Mark the image as decorative. Enter a description of the image in the Alternative text field.
  9. Select Save to enable the image for your learning module.
