How to Create a Calendar Event in Qwickly Course Tools

With Qwickly Course Tools, you can inform students of events across multiple courses like office hours or study sessions.  Using the calendar tool is one way to ensure increased student participation in scheduled events.

  1. From your Blackboard Ultra Navigation page, click Tools from the menu pane and select Qwickly Course Tools.Left Navigation Panel: The active menu item "Tools" is highlighted in purple and pointed to by a red arrow.  Main Content Area: A red box and arrow surround the "Qwickly Course Tools" card in the main grid.  Other Visible Tools: Additional unselected tiles include "Application Authorization", "EAC Visual Data", "Goal Performance", and "Goals".
  2. In Course Tools, scroll down and select Event.                                   Highlighted Callout: A red box highlights the "Event" option in the left navigation panel, positioned directly beneath "Assignment" and "Content".  Left Navigation Sidebar: Displays the full "Course Tools" menu organized into four main sections:  Create: Assignment, Content, Event (highlighted)  Manage: Groups, Needs Grading  Send: Announcement, Email  Update: Change Dates, Check Links, Course Availability  Main Canvas: Displays an icon and instructional message reading: "Select a tool in the lefthand menu to manage your course communication and content."
  3. Next, enter calendar event information such as Title, Location, Date, Start and End time, then click Submit.Form Callouts: Red arrows point directly to required fields in the main panel:  "Title" text field  "Location (Optional)" text field  "Start:" date and time picker fields  "End:" date and time picker fields  Action Callout: A red box outlines the blue "Submit" button in the bottom-right corner.  Sidebar Menu: "Event" under the "Create" heading is highlighted in yellow in the left navigation menu.  Course Selection: A course checkbox (e.g., "Advanced Legal Research and Writing") is selected in the middle panel.
