Qwickly Tools: Create Content

Instructors can deploy the same content across multiple courses with ease. Instructors can also add different types of content (items, files, external links) directly to multiple courses or straight from cloud storage repositories.

  1. From your Blackboard Ultra Navigation page, click Tools from the menu pane and select Qwickly Course Tools.Left Navigation Panel: The active menu item "Tools" is highlighted in purple and pointed to by a red arrow.  Main Content Area: A red box and arrow surround the "Qwickly Course Tools" card in the main grid.  Other Visible Tools: Additional unselected tiles include "Application Authorization", "EAC Visual Data", "Goal Performance", and "Goals".
  2. Select Content from the Course Tools list.Highlighted Callout: A red box outlines the "Content" menu item located under the "Create" section near the top of the left navigation panel.  Left Navigation Sidebar: Displays the full "Course Tools" menu hierarchy:  Create: Assignment, Content (highlighted), Event  Manage: Groups, Needs Grading  Send: Announcement, Email  Update: Change Dates, Check Links, Course Availability  Main Content Panel: Features a central tools icon accompanied by instructional text reading: "Select a tool in the lefthand menu to manage your course communication and content."
  3. (A) Select the course(s) you’d like to create an assignment in the left-hand course list. (B) Select the Content Type to create. (C) Add a title, content, and/or any file attachments depending on Content Type selected. (D) Once completed, click Submit.Callout A (Course Selection Panel): Left panel for choosing target courses; "Advanced Legal Research and Writing" is currently checked.  Callout B (Content Type Selection): Toggle buttons to select the type of content: "Item" (selected), "File", or "External Link".  Callout C (Content Details Form): Form section containing a "Title" input field, a rich-text editor for the content body, and an "Attachments (Optional)" field with a "Choose File" button.  Callout D (Next Button): A red box highlights the blue "Next" button in the lower-right corner to advance to the Timeline step.  Workflow Progress: Step indicator at the top shows "Content" active, followed by "Timeline", "Organization", and "Review".
  4. This section is optional. (A) Select if these settings will apply to All Courses or Per Course, then set the following settings for each course you are adding this assignment to. Select optional Display after date and/or Display until (B) Once complete, click Submit. Callout A (Timeline Settings): Highlights the "Timeline (Optional)" panel, which includes:  Course Toggle: Option to apply settings to "All Courses" (selected) or "Per Course".  Display Fields: Inputs for "Display after:" and "Display until:" date (mm/dd/yyyy) and time (11:59 PM).  Instructions: "Set content availability below. If you'd like to skip this step, click 'Next.'"  Callout B (Next Action): A red box highlights the blue "Next" button in the bottom-right corner to proceed to the Organization step.  Workflow Progress Bar: Indicates the "Timeline" step is active following "Content", with "Organization" and "Review" remaining.  Course Selection: The left sidebar displays "Advanced Legal Research and Writing" (Fall 2025).
  5. (A) Select if these settings will apply to All Courses or Per Course, then set the following settings for each course you are adding this assignment to. Open the Content Area drop-down menu and select where this assignment will be deployed in the course.  (C) Once complete, click Submit. Callout A (Organization Settings): Highlights the "Organization" panel containing:  Course Toggle: Selection between "All Courses" (selected) and "Per Course".  Dropdown Menu: A "Content Area:" dropdown menu to designate where the content will be placed in the course structure.  Instructions: "Select the content area you’d like to put this content in."  Callout B (Next Button): A red box highlights the blue "Next" button in the bottom-right corner to move to the Review step.  Workflow Progress Bar: Indicates that the "Organization" step is active following "Content" and "Timeline", with "Review" as the final step.  Course Panel: Displays the active course as "Advanced Legal Research and Writing" (Fall 2025) in the left pane.
  6. Review all of the previously selected assignment settings and once complete, click Submit.​​​​​​​Highlighted Callout: A red box highlights the blue "Submit" button in the lower-right corner.  Workflow Progress: The progress bar at the top indicates the "Review" step is active following completed "Content", "Timeline", and "Organization" steps.  Review Summary Area: Displays a summary under the heading "Is the following information correct?" with the following content details:  Title: Test Title  Content: Example Description  Attachment(s): None  Content Type: Item  Display after: [blank]  Display until: [blank]  Selected Course: The left column confirms the target course as "Advanced Legal Research and Writing" (Fall 2025).

  7. Now, to ensure your assignment(s) deployed correctly, go to one of your courses and look in the selected Content Area to confirm the content has deployed.
