How to Navigate the Blackboard Ultra Messages Page
Messages are not new, but Ultra Base Navigation provides a more efficient way to manage messages across all your courses if you use them. Users access their global Messages pages from the list where their course names appear first. Messages are organized by course.
Next to each course name there is a circled number that indicates the amount of message notifications you have in that course. On the right of each course there is either a New Message button to start creating a message for that course or a Messages off to indicate messages are not available for this course.
Everyone can use messages for reminders, quick questions, and social interactions. Although similar to email, you must be logged into a course to read and send course messages. However, if you prefer the email tool rather than messages, you may continue to access the Send Email tool from within courses.
