Enter Equations in Mentimeter

Mentimeter uses KaTeX to format mathematical equations.

  1. Enter a $ symbol at the beginning of the equation.
  2. Enter the equation.
  3. Enter another $ symbol at the end of the equation.
  4. Select outside the text box to allow the equation to render.

For example, the following code represents the quadratic equation:

$x = \frac{-b \pm \sqrt{b^2 - 4ac}}{2a}$

Image below of the Quadratic equation, written in KaTex and displayed back as a formatted function: $x = \frac{-b \pm \sqrt{b^2 - 4ac}}{2a}$

Note: If the equation initially appears as plain code instead of a formatted equation, select outside the text box and allow time for the equation to render.
