The ACC Budget vs Actuals for Cost Center report is the tool for you to monitor your Cost Center’s operating budget in Workday.
Running the Report
In the Workday search bar, type “ACC budget” and select the ACC Budget vs Actuals for Cost Center report.

In the form that pops up, fill in the following three fields:
- Cost Center – Type in your Cost Center number if known, or part of the name of your department
- Period – Select the month and fiscal year to be reported
- Plan Structure - Select “ACC Financial Budget”

Click the “OK” button to run the report.
Reading the Report


Remember that we budget at the Spend Category level.
Drilling into the Report
In Workday, you can drill into any text that is in blue for further details. For example, clicking the circled number pops up a new box showing what is encumbering funds. You can then export this to Excel using the highlighted icon.

You can continue to drill into the pop-up report. For example, clicking the text in the square would then take you to the journal lines of that specific Purchase Order.
