Open Records Request

What Is It?

Open Records Requests allows users to request institutional email or data records for legal, compliance, or public information purposes. Requests are fulfilled using Google Vault, an integrated, web-based service for Google Workspace that provides robust tools for information governance and eDiscovery. Its primary purpose is to help organizations meet their data retention and legal obligations.

Where Can I Get It?

Google Vault files are delivered in Box.

How Do I Use It?

Data is exported in MBOX or PST files, must use a mail client application to read the data.

Service Level Agreement (SLA)

Response and resolution times are based on operational hours (Monday through Friday from 9:00AM to 5:00PM).

Response Time 6 business hours
Resolution Time Within 7 business days, 85% of the time

 

Please Note: Response Time is measured from ticket submission date/time until the ticket is moved to an 'In Process' status. Resolution Time is measured from ticket submission date/time until the ticket is completed/resolved. A ticket in an 'On Hold' status (e.g. IT is waiting for additional information from the requester) does not count toward the Resolution Time.
