AI (Artificial Intelligence) Resources

What Is It?

Generative Artificial Intelligence (GAI) is reshaping the way we learn, teach, and work.  At Austin Community College, we believe it’s essential to approach this transformation with care, collaboration, and clarity. This website is meant to serve as a central space for exploring how ACC is implementing Generative AI across our college. The work is being guided by our Collegewide AI Strategic Planning Committee (CAISPC) in close partnership with our Information Technology (IT) department. Together, we are curating resources, policies, and guidance to help faculty, staff, and students make informed and ethical decisions about GAI use in our classrooms, offices, and communities.

Our approach to GAI implementation is grounded in ACC’s institutional values: courage, compassion, joy, and a spirit of “yes.” That means we are leading with curiosity, centering human needs, and staying alert to both the promise and the risks of emerging technologies. We are committed to policies that are collaborative, transparent, and fair; processes that are proactive and responsive; and learning opportunities that reflect our mission to promote student success and community development through accessible education.

Purpose of this Web Page

This site is designed to help our college community understand and navigate the role of generative artificial intelligence at ACC. Whether you’re looking for teaching resources, guidance on responsible use, or ways to stay involved in campus-wide conversations, you’ll find tools and information here to support your work. Our goal is to foster a shared understanding of GAI that empowers students, faculty, and staff to use these tools thoughtfully, ethically, and creatively.

We are also working on collecting our committee work together to share with you and begin populating the website. Stay tuned!
